The Board is doing a great job of responding to the problems. Future step will be to look at a security gate to deter/prevent non residents from driving into the area, parking there and hangin out. If WE want to keep the unwanted out of the playground area then WE need to form a neighborhood watch and confront the people on the playground. The rules state that equipment is for use of children under 12. Obviously they ignore rules. They will probably get tired of hanging out at the childrens playground area...They did not get tired of hanging out at the basketball goals and that is why they were taken down. I have driven through Willoughby Station and counted 133 basketball goals...NOT 33 BUT ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY THREE, in driveways out of approximately 750 homes. THis means that almost 1 out of every five houses has a basketball goal. I think this speaks to the fact that many of the residents that have kids that want to shoot baskets prefer that their kids do so at home rather than subject them to the unsafe element that was hanging out at the amenity area. Taking down the goals will deter the problems. CAN ANYONE NAME A SUBDIVISION IN MT. JULIET THAT HAS AN OPEN BASKETBALL COURT!!!!!! I HAVE NOT FOUND ONE AND I AM NOT AWARE OF ANY PROBLEMS IN HICKORY HILL, OR ANYOTHER SUBDIVISION THAT HAS POOL & PLAYGROUNDS ONLY....THE BASKETBALL GOALS ARE THE MAJOR ATTRACTION TO DRAW PEOPLE TO OUR AREA THAT DO NOT LIVE HERE.....
