Zidane stared. It had suddenlt hit him what had happened. He was thrust into the past, that's why Aurie didn't recognize him.He really wasn't Aurie at all...he was thirteen year old Auron.
"I-I...do you have a place I could stay?"Zidane sputtered.
"Depends on whether you're worthy, outsider,"Auron answered.
"Worthy?Worthy of what?"Zidane asked stumped.
Auron glanced at his sword. He slipped it back in it's sheath and picked up two beautifully carved dark wooden swords used for training. He tossed one to Zidane. The teen shot to his feet and quickly grabbed for the wooden sword.
Young Auron didn't have to say anything,he just leaned back with one leg forward and eyes trained on Zidane.
"Ready?"
"Always!"
Zidane swung. He thought for sure he would catch Auron unprepared. The boy wasn't strong, but he was fast and had already anticipated Zidane. The swords whacked each other.
The cracks of wood against wood echoed through the air.Zidane didn't think either of them would gain an advantage against the other. The moment he thought that Auron sword struck his face.Zidane somehow saw it coming,to close to stop, but aimed for the boys feet.Auron tripped. As he fell backwards Zidane caught the tip of his sword on his and flung it with power out of the boys hands.
Zidane steadied his sword at Aurons heart. The boy grinned.
"You are very welcome to come stay with me,"Auron said, a wide grin on his face.

Shep looked around. They had built a fire. The city felt like doom for both of them.Kiana was sitting by Shep.Suddenly she felt her arms wrap around him in a hug.He tensed slightly and then finally hugged her back.
They were there,embracing each other.
"Oh,gawd,Shep,I love you so much! You have no idea...when you left...I thought you were dead and I felt so...emty,"Kiana hugged Shepherd tighter.
"I love you to Kiana...but if I ever went back..."Shep stopped. He didn't feel like talking about it.They let each other go and stared at one another. But it wasn't an akward stare. Each felt warmth at seeing each other once again and knowing how the other felt.Kiana suddenly ran her hand slowly down Shepherd's leg and he shivered at rememberance that in Kiana's eyes he wasn't at all the same.
"Soft..."
"Uh-huh,"Shepherd answered flatly.
Kiana played with the soft snowy tuffs or hair at the bottom of Shep's legs, but she was staring at the sky.Soon he looked up too, ignoring the tingling from her playing with the fur.It was pretty.Really pretty...
