Date Posted: 19:43:02 08/08/05 Mon In reply to: allestree lad 's message, "Re: Arriva's "rust buckets"" on 16:28:21 08/08/05 Mon I know what you mean about the Citybuses, they seem part of Derby. Sadly the B reg Marshall ones are gradually dissapearing. The last Arriva Fleetline (Daimler) 4301 (GTO 301V) is now being looked after by Arriva. Its used on schools but is usually locked inside when not in use. Hopefully this will be preserved one day. On the issue of fares, Trent dodnt offer very good return offers! A single to Sinfin (and most other City suburbs) costs £1.40, Trent charge the same to Spondon, Mickleover and Allestree. However Arriva returns coast £2.40, Trents is £2.70! Im not sure, but Trent may offer cheaper off peak day returns. Their standard returns are called "two trip" tickets and can be used on different days!! Not sure if everyone is aware, but the Arriva day tickets can be bought and used before 9am all week, whereas Trents Zig Zag is restricted until after 9am Mon to Fri. Hope this is of interest.
