Living in Allestree now, I must admit Trent offer a good service, but I hate the Optare Solos that they use. They are small, crampt and often very noisy. The return fare to town is £2.70, 40p more than that of Arriva. I still enjoy getting on a volvo citybus when ever I get the chance, even if 139 is over 20 years old! Trent offer a good, and often reliable service (although the bus stops don't always give you the correct information). They invest in excellent buses, especially the scanias. Arriva will never put in the kind of investment! It will be a sad day when you can no longer hear a volvo in town, a bit like when the fleetlines went too!
