Subject: Holding ourselves gently

Sometimes I do stupid things and sometimes I look at someone else and see how much more wonderful they are than I am. And then I don't hold myself very well anymore.

I am wanting to be more conscious in these places. Wanting to inquire into this. Who is this character that loves to put me down? How is it that in one moment I can observe that my house is a mess and 20 seconds later I am feeling that I don't have any right to take up space on the planet?

Does anybody else do this too? And how do we hold this part of ourselves, this self-destructive part? Do we greenlight even this?

It seems so interesting to me to investigate the ways in which we hold ourselves. It seems like such a fine thing to remember to hold ourselves gently. Maybe we can't always do it well, but we can at least become conscious of how we're doing it poorly. That's a start.

Lovingly, Cassie
