::a rhetorical question, to be sure. to walk in, unarmed other than two fists and a set of fangs, and see a bristling wife, two daughters, one of whom was having an incredible shouting match, a harassed looking Zeth, and a tall, handsome man that she might have seen before in the middle of it all. quite a dramatic scene, no buts about it. standing quietly in the doorway, leaning against the doorjam with arms crossed, she witnesses epic battles and awkward pauses and confrontations she did not envy with sharp green eyes. what a party to walk into. well, she had been invited. but that didn't mean she was welcome. the blonde, the one colder than ice, Zeth's wife, would obviously hate her. the brunette, who looked so shockingly like Briallan, would obviously reject her and let her know it. the slightly more conservative blonde, like the first in looks, would obviously resent her. and the tall mascu' that she might or might not know would obviously not know her. and there weren't even hors d'oeuvres! man, this party sucked. oh well, she'd just grin and bear it. walking in, keeping her silence, she simply closes the door behind her with an inaudible click and takes up a post at the kitchen counter. out of the line of fire, but within viewing distance of the fireworks. safe, right? wrong. she knew it, but anywhere else was just as dangerous::
