The metal was slick from his own blood, though Balin was fairly sure some of it was not his, and his fingers were fairly frozen and shaking. ‘One of your sons happened.’ The words where uttered followed by a miriad of colorful language as his fingertips discovered the holes in the leather and the mutilated flesh beneath it.
