All this work for nothing.

Still at full speed, the stallion had trouble dodging off to the side, as horses aren't the most.. flexible.. of creatures. However, the bay was quite toned in body enough to react to the attack with vigor. On an instant's notice, he threw the brakes on. His hooves, which were more accustomed to rock than sand, fumbled in the soft textured earth. The corner of the auburn's dark eye caught sight of the panther leaping in offense.

Helped along by his now irrepresible anger, Adrian responded with a flurry of rapid-fire violence. He pivoted in place, resembling a big, brown blur as he did so. The rebel faced the brunt of the feline's attack, but not without throwing a few hoof punches and bucks of his own. Her claws caught his shoulder like the last time, however now she had a better purchase than ever before. Adrian's left side seared in pain, as if fire had been set upon him. Dark Hearts' fangs then stabbed him about the neck, but she did not catch a good hold upon his throat.

The stallion backed furiously. But his brown eyes caught something of considerable interest. In mere seconds, the auburn terror was within a foot of the tree the cat had spotted herself. Madly attempting to free himself from the clawed hellion, Adrian tried ramming her into the tree's trunk and pinning her there.

Blood streamed from his shoulder and neck. That was the disadvantage to fighting something that had both teeth and claws.

(Thank you. :) Yeah, good idea.)
