(Apple cinnamon? Ooo..)

He was opening his mouth to further clarify what he had said when the mad cat flung herself upon him. Startled, yet not caught totally unaware, the stallion stepped instinctually to the side. He stumbled a bit over the sand, realizing too late that his hooves were halfway embedded in it. The cat, stretched out in full blown flight, slammed into the bay with a surprising amount of force. However, she remained in place for only a short amount of time. Roxie was quick on the draw; the cat, quick on the reflex. The cat retreated, but not without catching his face in an almighty clawed slap.

Adrian was incredibly lucky. His left eye was left untouched, but four long, deep marks were left in the claws' wake; the deepest one passing just below the eye. They welled with blood. It dripped steadily to the ground, gruesomely marring the pristine sands. He would have a scar, no doubt. The stallion's shoulders also bled, but it was less noticeable. The crimson blood stained his auburn pelt, making it darker in patches.
