Why am *I* to do with this all of a sudden?! I've NEVER been mean to you because you're American. To me it's just the same as making fun of people because of skin colour, accent, eye colour, hair colour, ethnic background. In other words, I think it's silly. So don't bother dragging me into it just because I'm British too.
Secondly, let me clear up just why British people seem to dislike Americans so much. This isn't what I think, well, not about most anyway, there may be a few who are like this, but anyway... this seems to be the general opinion of Americans in Britain.
1) Self-obsessed. Why? If you ask a British person about America, they'll be able to tell you SO much about it, as well as many other countries. If you ask an American about Britain, it's a different story. They know literally bugger all because all they are interested in is themselves. Hell, some of them think that the troubles in Northern Ireland is to do with a war between Ireland and Scotland!!
2) Egotistical. Why? Look at any war film you like. If you didn't know any better, you'd think that the Americans fought and won WWII single-handedly! Then there's the whole Atom-Bomb thing. This is the one thing about America which did actually piss me off! The President justified dropping the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in this way "It was the only way to save American lives". That's not a direct quote, but it was something to that effect. WHAT THE HELL?! It's OK for them to murder hundreds of thousands of innocent Japanese people so long as AMERICANS are ok?!
3) Stupid. I know many highly intelligent Americans and for anyone to say that Americans are stupid is in itself stupid.
4) Always sticking their nose in! America seems to want to get involved in everything! :S
Want to add to that Inky? Remember, that's not what *I* think, that's a general opinion, and I'm just putting it forward.

Something I've been meaning to ask you is why you hate clowns so much. As for why I hate them, it's because they hide who they are behind the ugly makeup, goofy clothes, and ridiculous routine. I don't like people who hide who they are, because I view it as a form of lying, and liars are the only thing on my list that I hate more than clowns.
On the other hand, anyone who dresses up in ugly clothes and voluntarily does something nobody sane and over the age of seven would enjoy can't be at all good.

I remember watching the film "It" with the evil clown when I was really young and that is the only horror film that has ever terrified me! I think that's what started off my fear. After that comes my first memory of going to the circus. I hated it as soon as I came in, all the animals in cages! Then there were the clowns everywhere! I don't remember this, but apparently us kids were being "entertained" by a clown, and I started crying because I was scared, then the clown started laughing in my face and squirted me with water. My mam had to take me home. Just since then my fear and hatred has grown!

In school, I am one of those "computer geeks" who gets bullied and sits in the library talking about maths equations and the good old days of dungeons and dragons. I was just wondering what's wrong with talking about math and D&D. It just so happens that math is my best subject in school, and I've been playing D&D for the past three or four years. I spend a lot of time reading, and I am considered to be a computer geek by most of the people that know me. I spend most of my time inside, but only because I live in the middle of nowhere and there's nothing to do here. I do have friends, and I tried alcohol when I was 13, but I didn't like it. I spend a lot of time in front of the computer, but that's mostly when I'm writing. I don't get bullied because I'm not a scrawny wimp (I'm 6'2" and weigh 220 lbs). I also have glasses that are about an inch thick and obscure about a third of my face. Without them, I can only see something clearly if it's less than two feet away. I know a lot of that is awfully convenient, but I swear it's the truth.
I'm not offended or anything, I was just wondering if you knew any of that.

Many people think that if you enjoy computers or indeed any of the other things listed, then you automatically fall into the other categories too. That's okay. I don't have a problem with being called a geek or a nerd, because I know I am. On top of everthing I mentioned earlier, I wear plaid button-down shirts and slacks every day, I comb my hair to the side and keep it about two or three inches long, I write, I draw, and I hate almost any sport that requires vigorous physical activity. If that isn't a nerd, I'd like to know what is.

I like maximum pc, i like playing video games/writing all the time, i'll play D&D as long as i dont have to be the dungeon master all the time, and i tend to stay inside all summer.(you would too if it was 90+ degrees and tons of mosquitos outside.) But i like wrestling,and playing football on occasion. And i could beat your ass if i had to.
In my school, we comp geeks are cool, since we own cd-rw drives and can get ppl cd's for a fraction of the cost. plus they realize we'll eventually be the boss of them one day.

I don't know what "category" I'd fit into, mainly because I hate the whole idea of everyone having to be classified. I love loads of stuff to do with computers and I hate sport. Who REALLY wants to run 3 miles in the middle of winter freezing their ass off and being shouted at be some evil teacher?! But also, I don't stay in all the time. I like going out with friends, sometimes we drink alcohol, sometimes we don't.
Don't worry about whoever impersonated you. I'm sure voy has an I.P check thingy. I'll see if I can find out who it is. I'm sure we'll all discover it's "gay". You know what they say about people who talk to themselves... ;)

er, alcohol? i guess its different over in scotland, but here its illegal for folks under 21. people say its good, but i've only had a taste of vodka, i think and X_X that sh*t is gross! they say the taste buds become more acclimated to alcohol with age, so maybe later i'll like it(of course, in moderation)

To legally drink it in Scotland you've got to be 18, but we do it sometimes anyway. I like the taste and it's good to help you relax sometimes when you're out with your friends. I also hate smoking though, never have smoked, never will. I don't drink because it's "cool" or whatever, as I say, I do it because it's fun sometimes.

2)I am not a geek. i played football, but realized it was stupid several years ago to try and hit ppl over and over. and rugby is better anyways.
3)You think that because i dont get out much over the summer, im weak. i excercise reg. plus i have band camp for two weeks (playing stupid bass/cool snare drum), plus i go to a military school so i don't really get out of shape
