She was one of the few that held her seat as most rushed to the bar, but one could not expect an old crone to go shoulder to shoulder for a free grog. Instead she offered only a dry cackle to the uproar, and took the opportunity to light a new pipe while Bobs eyes were upon Angus' two upheld fingers. The brief illumination only seemed to darken the shadow coal dust had created on the features, though she took no chances as the small flame went out the second Morleys eyes again swept the room. She could have smiled as he sat down across from the drunk near her and began his indirect conversation, knowing from the first word on that it was for her. She was as certain that Morley was not one hundred percent sure either, and curiousity was again tempted as she wondered who the second unknown face might be. If it were the drunk he addressed, she would have been none to assured the man was as drunk as he seemed. If it were someone else, she could imagine old Bob had more trouble than was at first apparent. She could imagine he thrived on such things however, and she could well appreciate that. The governors 'request' or inviation as he might see it, was thought on, and she took her time doing so. Most of those with their free grog had returned to the tables, and some half finishing before the old crone would set her staff to the boards, and push herself up to a bent over height. There was a slight lean forward of the gnarled and twisted staff she used, as if to say "lead on". All of this was in allowing his hunch to be right, and acknowledging that it was indeed she, while avoiding the possible trouble of being viewed a threat. The fact that he had managed to insinuate the latter, in his few words, had not escaped her. Clogs clumped against the boards as she shuffled foward, and the crowd parted for her without ever really being aware of their subtle avoidance.
