Subject: I just heard someone praise Pope Benedict for standing

up to radical Islam (the Islamists). He especially likes that the pope speaks his mind without mincing words, and says that other world leaders look soft in comparison.

Other people have criticized Pope Benedict's very direct, yet scholarly approach, which requires intelligence and careful attention to *all* that he says to properly understand what he is saying. (There are no soundbites with Pope Benedict.)

I prefer the direct, educated approach over George Bush's cocky, uneducated, dopey remarks anyday.

I was surprised at how fast he read his speeches in English today. I never heard him talk so fast in English. My brain couldn't keep up!!!

As for Bush, it is amazing how a person who is educated at the best elite schools this nation has to offer. He went to Andover Prep, BA -Yale, MSB- Harvard, he sounds so uneducated! It just baffles me every time he opens his mouth. I guess when you come from the upper class like he does with all that money all he knows how to do is to be cocky.

No. I was going to tag along if my church had a trip planned. From what I hear, though, it was very tough to get tickets. 250 thousand applied for 57 thousand tickets.

The stadium looked nice, didn't it?
