That to me is a very cunning way which allows the fear factor work to against us. Enough said. I appreciate the the religious differences, but I do not buy into it, even for a second.

We agree. In the NT we're told that faith without works is dead. In other places in the Bible it talks about things we do not being able to save us. But in those instances, it's talking about the OT stuff--circumscision, dietary law, etc.

In the NT we're told that we have to do this and that to be a Christian--feed the hungry, clothe the poor, love your brother, etc. It's not enough to say that you believe, feel that you believe, be happy about your faith in God. The NT says that we're required to act on that faith, which we have through grace.
