Weather permitting, I walked to communion nearly every Sat, with my sister at the local Catholic center. Mom joked that we should get everything out of our system, so we'd be gone a long time. That way, she could get her chores (mainly cleaning and laundry) done w/o the hassle of her two oldest kids around. LoL

It was kind of unique. You just went into a large room and sat there and spoke to the priest. There was no confessional booth, and I had to look the priest in the eye. Since my folks were strict, I had to make up borderline stuff up to tell the priest...I was such a lil' angel. Oh yeah, right! LoL

While I have since converted to Prot'sm, I am proud of my Catholic upbringing, and always remember those happy days of walking with my sister to the center for 1 thing or another.

Take care, God Bless,

Phil from AZ

Scary, even if the priest is nice. I prefer face-to-face Confession to the confessional. Yikes, it's scary in there. :-)

I do the Easter obligation, but didn't this year. I know I should go, but it's a very uncomfortable thing for me. They say that if you go frequently, it's helpful.

To those of you who've gone frequently--Did you find it helpful? Did it get easier the more you went?

Joan

...the easier it got. It is kinda uncomfortable, like going for a job interview or admitting you did something wrong at work. Take care, God Bless,
