Subject: Wull, shards... feelin' kinda left out over here.
In reply to: S'sha & Kylith ((Korea, Archallo)) 's message, "[long-lost friends]" on 16:05:43 03/31/05 Thu

T'yin, as is typical, withdrew a pace when R'jari and S'sha first embraced, allowing the former Weyrwoman the limelight to reunite with her best friend's now-grown son. A small smile graces his face at the words of hope and joy exchanged between goldrider and bronzerider, and a simple brush of minds against his green shows that, though tired, she is happy as well to be home among friends. Viouth, strangely enough, does not speak with Maeroth and does not offer a verbal greeting to Raideth, though she bows her snout to both whenever they first look her way, tucked up against Leth in an attempt to give a moody queen her space.

R'nos, however, is completely out of character in doing exactly as his greenrider friend does, staying quiet and allowing S'sha to speak for the trio. A warm grin is set on his broad face, masculine features tanned and creased with sun, toil, and laughter--though he'd been separated from T'yin and S'sha for the past half-Turn, he had spent the rest of his time away from New Isle with them, so he's willing to let others who hadn't seen them for Turns absorb S'sha's attention. A brown-eyed glance to T'yin shows the younger rider still and not fidgeting, unsurprising for such a studious man, so R'nos hooks his thumbs into his belt loops and leans back on his heels. Leth greets Maeroth (once bronze and queen cease conversing) and Raideth, once the blackened green settles to the earth. The brown may be quiet, but he's tired, by Faranth! Like R'nos said, it wasn't easy trying to catch up with a power-flying queen like Kylith. He can't imagine how Viouth kept up at all, but to glance at the average-sized green, she's exhausted--inner eyelids closed and head listing slightly to one side as she stands next to him. 'Leth, watch yourself,' his lifemate admonishes, catching the brown's thoughts. Leth snorts, I know, rider-mine. It was only one flight, and both she and I have weyrmates to which we are still loyal... even though neither of them are here. R'nos's slow reply is sad and soft, 'Alara... and Aghath... Shards, I haven't seen them in Turns and Turns...' Neither one of the lifemates say it, but the thought is there: Alara and her lovely green are likely dead, if they haven't shown up at the one Weyr that still existed on Pern by now. 'But,' R'nos adds, feeling the drift in his dragon's thoughts, 'J'neli and his blue are probably around somewhere.' The brown is quiet for a moment before responding. I know, 'mate. I know it was just one flight.

Almost as though catching the jist of the brown pair's private conversation, Viouth stirs briefly, resettling her weight on different legs and rustling her wings. A yawn pries her long, toothy jaws open, and she blinks repeatedly. 'Tired, love? Can you wait a little longer while I listen to R'jari? He knows what's passed...' T'yin murmurs, concern for his dragon pulling his gaze from S'sha to his lifemate. Viouth yawns again and chews over his words, but before she can respond, the lean greenrider shakes his head. 'Find an empty weyr, love. Sleep. I'll come later, once things have been sorted out. I can ask around and have news for you when you awaken.' The green bobs her head once, unfurling her wings and edging into more open space before forcing her tired body into the air. Search well, T'yin... her half-formed words reply as she angles away and towards the many weyrs that pock the cliffsides. The greenrider smiles faintly, waits until he feels her land, find a weyr, and fall asleep almost instantly, and then clears his throat. "R'jari... do you know if J'neli and blue Peth are with the Weyr currently?" Unlike his previous display with S'sha, T'yin seems calm and his voice sounds casual and unworried.

Not missing out on the fun, brown Tizz finally launches himself from R'nos's padded shoulder to introduce himself to the bronzerider's fair with tinny bugles and almost comical creels.
