Synthis was at a complete loss now. As she stood there, her hand in M'att's, she felt more exposed than ever. Someone knew the truth about her now, knew that she was too weak to defend herself even from a selfish Lord Holder that she had once thought of as papa.

Of course, she could not tell him these things, for he had taken her hand in his. However, she found herself remembering the times before the first beating, and even after, when she had tried so hard to impress him, be the little girl she believed that he deserved. He was a gentle man before the healers had told of her impurity, her disability. Trying to use her voice for months after the sickening truth was only one of the things she'd tried. After a while, though, she realized all she could do for him was to be his punchingbag, and that was no fun.

Silent tears fell down her face, and she was suddenly wishing two things at once; that M'att would hold her, and that she would stop showing such disgusting weakness. She sighed.

'It really wasn't that bad--'

{Little one, rape is wrong. Never let it happen. You have to stand up for yourself, and learn now, before it is yet again too late!}

She looked over at the green for a moment, and then sighed. She's right, I guess, Synthis thought privately.

((Lily wants to have M'att meet her new friend, so she's coming... and hey. We were wondering if in your next M'att post, you could make it look a little 'suspicious'. It would be kinda funny if they came in hearing Xiualith's words and got the wrong idea on who raped her. If you don't like it, though, that's alright. Just thought it would be weird to have M'att accused of rape. Weird thought...))
