Subject: I'm sorry, Olivia's fitness is not to the level of a state titleholder. None of the buy-ins are either (except Miss River Days). And Olivia placed third at Portsmouth, where Stephanie and Baylee bested her. State competitions do have more experienced judges, so the stronger girls will be recognized. She's definitely T10, but they don't let anyone in the T5 who isn't ready to go to Miss America.

How is she the best educated? Isn't her Bachelor's in theater or music performance?

In reply to: 's message, "They would be stupid to let Olivia Fosson slip through their fingers. I think it may be a mistake to overlook her - I feel like she's flying under the radar intentionally. She has the best talent, the best public speaking skills, and the best education. Can't forget that she placed Top 8 at Distinguished Young Women nationals and won the interview award. If you want a Miss America contender, she's your girl. Not to mention she's actually done stuff with her CSI. I actually like that she doesn't have an over processed, typical "pageant" look" on 13:13:02 04/26/24 Fri

how dare you get on this website and hide behind a screen saying someone is not fit enough to be Miss Ohio. i know damn well you would not say that in person because you would get your ass beat (and that is a threat). you have no idea who is struggling with eating disorders and body image issues. getting on here criticizing someone’s body - especially someone whose entire platform is about accepting your body - is insane. i sure hope no one points out your flaws in person because that is horrifically damaging. maybe come up and introduce yourself to me during miss ohio week and ill tell you what’s wrong with you in person, not behind a screen <3

Proof: Name me a heavy Miss Ohio (that wasn't crowned bc a board member walked in on her changing, on purpose, & Steven was concerned she'd talk). They can face reality now, or in 5 weeks.

[> [> [> [> Subject: Fitness is a judged category and it has nothing to do with size,(imo). I have attended a lot of locals this year and regularly see contestants on stage wearing something they should not because it doesn’t fit well. This is not about body shaming, it’s about appearance, confidence, and proper wardrobe. For example, Diamond is not a “stick figure” but that girl rocked every fitness competition I saw her in this year because she picked appropriately sized Rebel wear, wears it confidently, and looks like she is enjoying her fitness walk (more inside).

If I can see the outline of your belly button through your interview outfit or gown, or if you ordered a size too small in your rebel outfit which causes your skin to spill out over it, that does not look good and if audience members notice this, you can be sure that judges will notice this too.
All of these candidates need have someone on their side that is honest enough and cares about them doing well to tell them the truth when their wardrobe has flaws. It doesn’t matter if it’s a family member, trusted friend, or someone they hire, body acceptance does not equal a license to look sloppy.

[> [> [> Subject: Olivia is very fit. Just because she’s not built like a stick does not mean that she’s not fit. She consistently talks about her eating disorder recovery and injury that debilitated her for a year and a half while recovering. People like you are exactly why pageant girls are so prone to eating disorders and don’t seek treatment. I’m proud of her for coming back after recovering and being an example of sustainable health. She also attended a top 3 musical theatre school, which produced 3 Miss Americas. Not to mention she is the ONLY contestant in law school. She is getting her JD from OSU Moritz - a top 30 law school. So I think it’s fair to say that she’s the most educated.

[> [> [> [> Subject: People here are not the reason girls are so prone to eating disorders. That's. their. issue. If they can't handle being JUDGED in FITNESS bc of an eating disorder, they should not be entering pageants.
Do you believe being overweight should be overlooked if a girl claims an eating disorder?
We saw with Madelanah McFarland and others that Ohio, nor any other state, is ever crowning a girl who is not height weight proportionate, regardless of fitness level, even when there was no 'fitness' comp. She's got everything else going for her, imo, but needs another year. She's young.
