Get rid of all the text in any DNS tabs. You will need NO INFORMATION in any of the suffix search orders. That is what is screwing you up. In fact, your Eudora error sealed it up for me. The error you report says something about DNS resolution. Trust me, erase all of the text blocks on the right hand side of the IP control panel. Set it up for use Ethernet (your device), Using DHCP server, No numbers in the DNS server block, and no infomation in the search order blocks. Close the IP control panel and then try to surf. If that does not work, reboot and try it again. If that does not work, throw the TCP/IP Preferences file in the trash (path = System Folder\Preferences\TCP/IP Preferences) sorry for the PC look, its just that I knew you'd understand the nesting if I wrote it that way. Throw that file in the trash, reboot, then set up using Ethernet (whatever your device type) and Using DHCP. Then close and save and you will be on barring a hardware problem. Do you get a link light on the card? It sounds like you do. Again, NO search order crap, or you will be fiddling with this forever.
Scott
