I am now a 24 year old man and as I read these posts most parents spank. When I was younger from ages 10 to 16 my step mother never spanked me for misbehavior she just yelled at me. I would use foul language to her answer her back and never did what I was told. I cannot figure why she would not give me a spanking for this behavior just yelled at me. Would any mothers on this board would have handled this differently or would they have done what my step mother did just yelled and hoped for the best? just wondering.
