And I apologize it's taken me a few days to respond. As I mentioned in my previous email, all three of our children attend a small Christian school that is directly connected to our church. Sarah is in 6th grade, Lisbeth in 5th, and Christopher in 3rd. The school includes corporal punishment as part of its arsenal of disciplinary methods. However, unlike in most schools, where a school leader or teacher is responsible for spanking the naughty child, the policy in our school is for a parent to be called in to administer the spanking him or herself. While they have never formally explained this policy, it is likely attributable to the fact that they know that virtually all parents in the school are committed to spanking bare bottom--something the church encourages but believes should be the purview of parents. With that backstory, up until the week before Christmas we had never been called in to school to spank one of our children. It's not much a surprise that when the time finally came, it would be for Lisbeth. While both Sarah and Christopher are meticulously well-behaved and obedient. Lisbeth has a bit of a naughty streak. She's incredibly lovable--she's cute as a button, has a buoyant personality, and is very kind and affectionate to her family and friends. But she also loves to talk, and has a hard time remaining silent during class time. At the kids school, for conduct like talking or not paying attention in class, there is a three-tiered system of punishment. The first is a simple warning to stop and decease immediately. The second is after-school detention. And the third is the much dreaded detention with corporal punishment. Over several weeks in November and December, Lisbeth managed to accumulate the first two. Indeed, after her second, i.e. detention, her father and I gave her a stern lecture followed by a bare bottom spanking and light paddling at home. Then, around two weeks ago, I got a call from the headmistress that Lisbeth had committed strike three. She explained to me what the procedure would be. After Lisbeth did her hour detention, the teacher in charge would bring her to the headmistress's office where both of us would be waiting. We would discuss the problem among the three of us and read some verses together from Proverbs about the biblical basis of spanking. Then, I would be expected to administer a hard spanking that would meet the school's criteria. The policy was a bit vague, but I figured that 1 minute of hand spanking and 1 minute with my small and light spanking paddle would suffice. At the designated hour, Lisbeth was ushered into the headmistress's office by her detention supervisor. She was clearly shaky and nervous, though the sight of me--even though she knew what I was there for--seemed to calm her somewhat. We proceeded through all the aforementioned stages and then the headmistress explained that Lisbeth had earned herself a serious spanking and pointed her to me. I took Lisbeth in hand, told her to lift her dress, and then removed her panties once she was already over my lap to avoid an unnecessary display of nudity, even if we were all girls. I know it must have been very humiliating for Lisbeth. She was used to only me, her father, her older sister, and her doctor seeing her rear end all bare. Now, even with her head a few inches from the floor, I'm sure she could sense the headmistress's eyes fixed on her unclothed bottom. I whispered in Lisbeth's ear that it was it OK to cry but to try to stay still and maintain her dignity during the spanking. Then, I began to spank. I always start out with 5-6 slow, especially firm spanks before turning to a more rapid style pace for most of the rest of the hand spanking, though I finish off with 5-6 more hard, slow smacks. Then, it was time for the paddle. I removed it from my purse and administered ten cracks of the paddle to each bottom cheek, making sure to include her sit spots as well so that she would feel it the next few days whenever she tried to sit down. By the end, Lisbeth was bawling, but I was proud that she had remained relatively still during the ordeal. I lifted her panties back up, flipped her skirt down, and helped her up to sit next to me on the couch in the headmistress's office. I told her how proud I was of how she had taken her spanking and that I hoped she had learned a lesson from it; Lisbeth assured me that she had. The headmistress kindly assured Lisbeth that she was a very good and sweet girl who had acted naughtily and now had been sufficiently punished for her misconduct and going forth would enjoy a clean slate. We then prayed and recited a few biblical verses together, before I left with Lisbeth and returned home. Understandably, Lisbeth wished to spend a while on her own in her bedroom once we got home. She came down to dinner with a pillow on which to sit, though I could still see her wince when she tried to lower her bottom onto it. I excused her from after-dinner chores so that she could go upstairs and shower and get ready for bed. A little while later, I went up to her room, cuddled with her, and asked to see her bottom. The redness had faded to some extent, though there were still a few marks from the paddle. I went to my bathroom to find some aloe and rubbed it on her bottom to ease the pain and sting, then lifted her panties back up, kissed her, and told her how much her father and I loved her and how much God loved her. The, I flicked off the light. It had been a long, trying, and emotional day but in the end it only convinced me of how important and frankly godly spanking is in terms of curbing unwanted behavior. For the past couple of weeks at least, Lisbeth's behavior has been exemplary. We'll see what happens when she returns to school in earnest, but I have a feeling that a very clear point has been made and that she will be a much better listener in class going forward.
