Yes same with our cry room, for sure, I actually visit it fairly often with mine. Do you handspank usually before the hairbrush?

Ive always seen the hand before an implement to really be effective even with younger children.

I am able to give hand spankings more often when not using an implement though of course it is needed sometimes to add some smacks with it, spoon for younger kids can work well

Im an advocate of hand spanking pretty often with younger kids when done in a loving way, and of course praising them when they do things well, even if its small.

celebrate all victories no matter how small :)
