What is the starting age for spankings in front of the church?

Well we started, again last year, but Christmas morning , same with Easter, but Christmas morning we do give out spankings before opening gifts. Covers any missed behavior over the year, but also helps them remember manners and to be thankful. After I spank I will say "now remember, please and thank yous"

Some may think awwwe thats mean, but it doesnt ruin the day for them or us, they forget about the sore bottom fairly fast but do still feel it enough to consider words and actions carefully for Christmas day.

We also then talk about Jesus and the story of his birth and all of that, either watch some little christian cartoon (usually veggietales lol) or sing a godly song. some memorable fun activity for them

I will buy them each one toy they had been really asking for, then two smaller extra toys each, and the rest is clothing or things they need. Last year for my daughter we put out both their stockings but hers ONLY had some of that pretend coal in it.

Her face when she saw it.... we did bring out her REAL stocking, don't worry but it got her attention, especially since the spankings i mentioned happened before new one came out.
