I read hear many about maintenance Spanking. Did this work fine?

I have spank my son last year 7 times and this year 4 times.
I notice that it helps him when he is spanked, after that he is particularly well-behaved and obedient for a long time.

I'm thinking about giving him a maintenance Spanking. Would him this helped too or is she too old for it? And how often should I do it? Once a week or once a month?

I would appreciate a few answers to my questions
