It's something we've talked about quite a bit. I was really feeling guilty that I couldn't afford to feed all three (Vince eats as much as the other two put together) the Sensible Choice. I switched to a food called Diamond that's working very well and while I always supplemented with this and that I've started doing it regularly. They look good. Greta is sleek and shiny. Vince has lost a little weight - needed. Ed had lost a little too much but is now putting it back on. There was a period of time where the dog's food consumed my life. I spent hours preparing barf and hours disinfecting afterwards. BTW Marlene, I remember seeing that particular thread you're talking about. I felt so bad for that lady. Trying to do her best by everyone and getting blasted. That's not right and I applauded you for your response.
