In this day and age, it is so important for any patient to have "an advocate" that goes along for medical care. You really have to keep track, ask questions, look up the medications, and keep your own records.

My husband thinks I am crazy, but I have begun keeping "diaries" or logs of myself, him *and* my baby boy, Mack when any of us see the Dr. You think you're going to remember everything, but sometimes when you least expect it, the problems pop up again and it's important to know what happened last time.

These things usually fall to the wife and mother - Bill is fortunate to have you as wife, nurse and advocate.
