m..for now - my favourite yellow is David Austins breeding - it's called Graham Thomas. It's more like a large shrub or small climber and probably not what you are looking for but I thought I'd mention it because I love it. :) My favourite purple also happens to be IMHO about THE best scented rose on the face of this earth - Madam Isacc Perrier (I should look up the spelling sorry) . It's a really old rose, packed with petals on an upright (not really a bush but what else can I call it) bush? that only flowers once a year really (maybe the occasional flower after that) but it will always have a place in any garden I grow. It has a fragrence that can transport you and I am supposed to grow it for potporrie - doesn't happen. I can't bear to pick them. :)
