This dbase is awesome, you can search by color. I entered lavender (If you enter purple, it's normally a deep, hot pink-red) and got 62 choices. They come complete with user reviews ala Amazon. How hard to grow, how easy, bugs, etc.

For the yellow, go with an orange yellow and that will give you the hot rather than white color. But a lot depends on your soil. I don't know exactly what they need to white out, but my soil is alluvial and mildly alkaline (I'm on the banks of a river near the ocean), every yellow rose I plant blazes, even if it was slightly light to begin with.

I'll trade you Marlene, my hot yellow roses for your white yellow. LOL!!!

Anyhow, here's the database...

Everyrose Database

A personal favorite I've grown before and had success with is the Kolner Karnival. Lovely with a nice (but not outstanding) fragrance. Always a Lady, I've never done...but am tempted after looking at the picture.
