I think it has more to do with exercise than anything. I choose not to eat meat for personal reasons, but a lot of the recipes aren't really low in fat. You have to be careful, especially if you watch your sodium levels. If you eat cheese, and I eat a lot of it, the sodium adds up quickly. I'm not a real healthy eater. Most often I eat whatever veggies the family is having, a salad, baked potatoes, steamed veggies, stuff like that. As for losing weight....when I hit 30 I couldn't seem to take off the extra five pounds I'd put on. Part of it was due to this darn computer, but the other part must have been a change in metabolism. I'm a Mountain Dew drinker - gotta have my caffeine. I switched to lemonade and water and the five pounds came off (then an extra 12 from worrying, but I'm not advocating that as a diet plan). If you're seriously interested I'll be happy to dig out my recipe books once I get them unpacked.
