I think you could use a hard winter squash.........
That is what it tastes like - only sweeter. I only know about pumpkin, hubbard and acorn squash. But I know there are many kinds........and if you found one a little sweeter than those, you'd have a winner! Or......you'd have what Lisa said to get in the first place!
I have heard people talk about pumpkin soup and have never tasted it (to be honest I though it sounded *not good*) but after having this, I would definitely try pumpkin soup next time I have a chance. Diane? Did you mention that you make a pumpkin soup?
