I have internet through my local cable company that is compatible with Mac and IBM puters. They have their own wiring [super fast - Tier 1] and are upgrading to T1 speed in a year or so [we have direct connection cable speed at the moment - not sure if that has a special speed name or not].

Since we have cable and internet the internet costs us $29.00/month. We had AOL before for the same cost, much slower speed and many more headaches!!!
