I have to admit that my faith in God and many things was altered through Paddy's illness. That is not to say I no longer believe in God, but the foundation of the things I'd previously believed washed away as if a great tide rolled in, and rolled back out.

Have any of you read "Chicken Soup For the Dog Lovers Soul" ? There was a story in there about a little girl who was near death from an illness. He dog led the doctor to her isolated location. Only problem was...the doctor found out the dog had died months previously. This story really helped me through some of dark times with Paddy. Holding on to the faith that his spirit would endure what his body couldn't.

There is a house not far from here where my brother lived for awhile, and a friend lived there previous to him. A little girl died there from I think Scarlet Fever many years ago. Her apparition has appeared to three different people in that house. What is interesting is all the owners since her death have kept her room intact. The old wallpaper remains, and the original antique furnishings covered in dust. Everyone who has lived there has felt compelled to leave her room alone, locked, unused. Which leads me to the question...

Why does she stay there, or any ghost stay grounded to a place? Is she there? Or do certain people through some psychic ability pick up on the memory of her.

*I want to hear Barbara's monster story!
