Margaret.......I don't mean to pry and if you tell me to mind my own business - my feelings won't be hurt. But I think I have missed something about your husbands condition. Has he had a stroke?
It sounds like you have your hands full (to say the least) with your hip unjury and needing to care for your husband.

My sister (who is 70 today) had a hip replacement 2 years ago and has done wonderfully well. I visited with her 2 weeks after her surgery and she was getting around pretty well - within 6 months she was back doing what she likes to do (except not to climb, and when you're 5'0" tall, it's hard to stay off chairs!)
I'm sending good thoughts out to your husband and to you, it can sometimes be even more difficult for the wife.
And who is Cliff?? Your favorite TV star?
