Subject: Easy tuna casserole
In reply to: Zoey's Mom 's message, "Re: Kris, may I have your recipe for tuna casserole?" on 12:09:18 06/16/01 Sat

I use this recipe for the noodles:

2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 teaspoons oil
3/4 cup warm water

Matt likes them very thick and chewy. Roll, cut and boil in salted water. Drain thoroughly. Set aside. (If you choose to use store bought noodles, make sure to get lots of kluski or egg noodles. They work best.)

In a large mixing bowl mix together one family size can cream of mushroom soup, two cans tuna in water - drained, and some mushrooms also drained. Shred tons of cheddar cheese.

Layer in a lightly buttered casserole dish -
Noodles
Tuna mixture
Cheese
Your last layer should be of cheese.
Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven until cheese is melted and everything is warm and bubbly. Mix thoroughly before serving.

I'll warn you that it looks rather like a mess of glop in the dish, but tastes wonderful and is the easiest thing to make.
