..honey!! (Of couse! LOL). I love it too Kat. That's an interesting idea on the allergies, I suffer from spring time hay fever (grass and flower pollens primarily). Do you have more info? I used to take a LOT of sudafed tablets at one time (asked my Dr if this was Ok because my blood pressure was a little high - she said "Oh sure - here you go have some more" now of course they're taking that stuff off the market due to associated risks with heart disease). I no longer question why I am into health alternatives and consider going to the Dr a useful backup tool.

So - tell me more about taking honey for allergies. Last year wasn't too bad and I did without except for the occasional antihistamine. This is where vitamin C comes back into it too - a friend of mine used mega doses to combat seasonal allergies with reasonable success. Does honey contain C I wonder? They're both antioxidents ....hmmmm..??

NZ has a pretty well thought of honey industry Kat - what are your favourite brands? One of the most famous down here is manuka honey (Manuka trees are related to tea trees, like the oil). Last summer on a bush walk going through a manuka grove there was a persistent, loud hum of bees working high up in the tree tops - magic stuff.

How much do you give to your dogs? (Actually don't answer that here - it should be discussed where more dog people can see it maybe?) I'm really interested though. I use honey water for Shilo when she's been giving birth BTW, also in times of illness..... opps, I'll stop now and save it for dog discussion and settle for the human info if you want to share that for now. :)
