When it comes to the computer I am prone to exaggerate stuff. ;)) In reality it was very simple and straight forward for me to make the switch. I just got cranky because I have some old email I don't want to part with and I was having problems figuring out how to keep it. In the end it proved simple and I was overlooking something really basic (which is human nature and often the way things go). I signed up for my new server online, did a download of their software that I need to configure my computer so it knows who to dial up with and their settings etc (the download was around a minute or so), phoned up to confirm my account (because I want the monthly charge added to my phone bill rather than paying by credit card or cheque) and that was pretty much it. It's really not a hard thing to do and if you're unhappy with the server that you're on I'd say go for it. The other option is to have two or more servers so that if one is down you can use another (I used to have a backup free one but that's no longer avaliable). This works out well if your backup server only charges you for actual time used (instead of a monthly rate) so if you're desperate you can dial up through them because chances are if one server is down then the other will be working. For me, if it turns out I don't like this server, what I'll do is keep them as a "spare" and find another I do because the monthly charge only kicks in after you use 200 minutes of dial up time - otherwise there is no charge. Have a look around and see what's avaliable. Meri gave me the names of some good ones, hopefully she'll post them for you to check out too. :)
