Neat topic and I want to try to do some link digging. But I did want to tell about a working clydesdale.

My husband and I were having dinner at a restaurant in Tampa owned by the man at the time who had responsibility for the Budweiser Clydesdales there (there are a number of teams throughout the US). We go back out to our car and low and behold, there was a lovely, petite blond riding a clydesdale through the parking lot. Turns out she was the security guard for the area.

We stopped, said hi (he and his rider were both sweeties). We were asking about him and she told a story where three obnoxious drunks were going out to their car and being really rowdy. She rode up on the clydedale and they stopped dead looking up at this huge horse. She told them to behave and they said...whatever you want lady, just don't let the horse hurt us...hee, hee.

Never mess with a horse that big *grinning*
