Dinner In A Pan (for 2)

250gm minced beef
1 clove of garlic
1 large onion
thyme or basil (or herb/s of choice)
1 packet of tomatoe (or other) simmer type soup mix
3 cups of boiling water
250gm fresh vegies chopped up
1 cup 0f pasta (large macoroni, lumache or kiferi or similar type shapes are best as they hold the soupy sauce well).
1/2 a cup of grated cheese to top off with.

Brown the mince, onion & garlic over a high heat. Add herbs and seasonings to taste (play around with this bit to your own taste - I like to add some beef stock and maybe some worctershire sauce etc). Sprinkle in soup mix. Stir well. Add the boiling water and vegies (brocolli, cauli, celery, peppers, cabbage - pretty much anything goes so long as they'll cook in about the same time so carrot etc needs to be grated rather than chopped). Stir pasta in once mixture is boiling. Cover pan and cook for around 15 minutes. When done if the mixture is more sloppy than you would like it just remove lid and raise the heat and cook a little longer.

Serve in bowls sprinkled with some cheese.

This is a really good camping meal - all in one pan and all balanced protien/carbs/veg. :)
