Subject: What are nuggets made of?

The nuggets or nuts or cubes, whatever you want to call them are basicall
split into two groups. One group is mainly grass and the other barley.
You can get some based on oats but as these tend to may horses excited,
it is not recomended for normal riding horses. Obviously they have other
ingrediants in such as vitamins, minerals and othercereals, maize is a
popular one. They also sometimes have peas and beans in.

When feeding horses I prefere the mixed feed to the nuts as you can see
just what is in, and some horses find nuts very boring.

You can also have nuts that are solely grass or alfalfa which can replace
these in their diet. They are eaten far to quickly and the horse is left with
nothing to do. This can lead to stress related things like weavig ( moving
from side to side).

If you want more on the stress related problems let me know.
