I found a chart yesterday Kris (something I'd picked up for Daniel I think - he collects various rocks and crystals) and it was fascinating. I have a slight passion for greenstone (known overseas as jade but here as greenstone and traditionally used in manufacture and trade by the Maori people before the Europeans arrived here). I also collect bits of interesting rock (not too many just a couple that I've liked the texture of) and shells too. :) (It goes - one for Kris..... One for Diane, LOL). I like unusual things like naturally sculptured shapes and odd patterns.

What are some of your favourites gemstones?
