We do this often (6-8 times a year), the kids the DH and I LOVE it. Senny is a water/camping dog - she get's excited when her crate hits the van. My boys (even though 14 and 10) are amazingly well behaved while camping/swimming/fishing/eating and think it's the best thing since sliced bread. I have to admit 3-4 days is about my limit (we're tent people - I even balk at the thought of a pop up camper). My friends have motor homes/trailers and keep wanting me to "use the microwave", "watch TV" - but I refuse, I still cook over an open fire pit, sleep "almost" under the stars and couldn't be happier. I guess I'm an old fashioned "outdoor" kind of girl. My mother on the other hand considers roughing it a hotel that doesn't have 24 hour room service! She thinks I was a mix up at the hospital LOL!
