"Noooooooo!" she screams, reaching out a hand as if to snatch the tiny coffin as Bubba starts to shovel dirt over it.

"She's a little hysterical, isn't she?" says a bystander who was just passing by and saw the crowd gathered by the miniscule grave. "I mean, it was just a cat."

Kande gasps. "Just a cat?! That was Ivy, whom KS had for 14 years!"

"A loyal companion who slept with her each night," Stardoe informs the stranger. "Not that I'd know anything about who KS does or doesn't sleep with each night. Although I know she doesn't sleep with me," she adds hastily.

"That snide little remark is going to cost you $8 trillion Canadian," the Mayor hastily writes out a fine. "And your life!" She throws a fairly large rock at the stranger, hitting him on the head.

IG quickly gets into the spirit. "Dog lover!" she hisses as she throws a handful of rocks. Soon the entire crowd is pelting the stranger with stones, while JD helps a distraught KS to the waiting limousine.

As KS sinks into the leather seat, JD stands nervously next to the door. "Now that we're down to only two cats," he begins. "What do you think about getting a dog?"

KS draws back from him as if stung. "How dare you even suggest such a thing before Ivy's even cold in the grave?"

"I...er...it just seemed like a good time, you know, get another pet so you don't miss her so much?" JD immediately knows he's said the wrong thing as KS turns her back on him.

She points a finger down the street. "Go. You're in the doghouse with me," her finger trembles and a tear streaks its way down her cheek. "I mean that literally. I saw you building a doghouse as Ivy was drawing her last breaths."

JD slumps and walks dejectedly towards their house, where he has built a small wooden doghouse -- Snoopy style -- in the backyard.

KS leans her head back on the seat. She hears the car door open and the seat depress as someone sits next to her. A velvety voice whispers into her ear: "I'm here, I managed to ditch spawn...er, I mean, Kim. You can turn to me."

KS leans back against the newcomer in the car and sobs.

"Don't worry, my sweet, I'll take care of you. But first I have to finish a job, I'll be back in "24"."

KS throws herself on the seat, sobbing wildly. The velvety voice quickly speaks again.

"Oh, dash saving the free world! It's clear you need me here with you!"

"Thanks, Jack," KS smiles to herself smugly. If only SMH could see her now. Through a veil of tears, she watches the crowd continue to build a pyre of rocks over the stranger's now prone body. Ahh, she thinks, they'd make a fine bunch of assassins.
