CW peers through the trees at the darkened city of Shipperville far, far below the hiking trail.

"I'm worried Kande may have poked her eye out with a candle," she tells KS, who has just knotted CW's hiking boots around her neck.

KS considers this. "You have to get the candle at just the right angle in order to do that," she informs CW. She picks up a stick. "Want me to show you?"

"Only if you do it on yourself," CW mutters beneath her breath as she continues up the trail in her socks. The two burst through a break in the trees and see a wide expanse of blue stretching before them far below. "Is that the ocean?"

"It is!" KS claps her hands happily. "We've made it to the coast!"

CW cuffs KS on the side of the head. "You idiot! We were trying to follow the Mayor and Scully to rescue everybody, not vacation at the coast. I knew we should have followed that sign."

"Don't worry, CW, I know a very good bed and breakfast." KS, in a state of glee over seeing the ocean, has decided to forgive CW the cuffing. "Besides, you know the Mayor put up that sign just to throw us off the trail."

CW puts her head in her hands. "Riiiggghht. So now we're at the ocean which is only about 1,000 miles out of our way. They could be torturing everybody right now!"

KS looks up alertly. "Who could be torturing whom?"

CW waves her hand wearily. "You know, the abductors. They could be torturing Rabid, Mulder, the Mayor, Scully, and for all we know, Kande. Maybe those screams we heard were Kande being tortured."

KS abruptly wheels and starts backtracking. CW hastily follows her and hears her cursing. "Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, tortures anybody without me around."
