This is a board about Catherine Bell/Sarah MacKenzie isn't it.
Crash Dive was a good showcase movie with CB. It really shows her in a role similar to Mac.
I'm sure if DB saw CB in this movie, it gave him an idea of how good CB would be in the role of Mac.
It really is a good movie if you like CB.

While I'm not the biggest fan of the show, it lacks reality to me, it does have some very good actresses.
I don't think it would have made it on regular TV, it has limited appeal, mainly for women only,
it makes it perfect for the Lifetime Channel. It's a good little show where the characters interact very well together. Highly unusual for most show on TV today.
I can see it running for a long time on Lifetime.
Note of interest: During the first season I thought Claudia Joy was better looking than Denise(CB),
Last night I found out I was sadly mistaken. CJ was in a scene with CB. CB blew CJ away. CB is so much more beautiful than CJ, which is hard to imagine considering CJ is a good looking lady.
I didn't care too much for Denise in the first season, but she has come a long way in the last 5 or 6 episodes. Denise is now a strong, independent, a leader, and growing more beautiful every day as her spirit has heal.
She's like Mac, but without the emotional baggage that comes from abandoment and abuse.
It's too bad that she's not the one with a couple of young children (8-12 years old). I like seeing CB with young children.
Finally: too bad about CJ's kid dying. I don't know why they had to kill her off. She was going away to college for four years.

I have to go along with so many lovers of AW that the show is just so moving,respectful and entertaining. Catherine Bell is stunning as ever and her acting never ceases to amaze my friends and I. I have noticed too that while critics and media were not so good with JAG their affection towards AW is so different and more loving towards the show.
I have the many elements of the show but what makes me cry are the close to home stories and do you agree with me that their song selections are connects with you?
I love the songs in the show.

- ITA Kelly. AW is superbly put together from the writing cast and song selection to the editing. You relate to all of the characters. I've always found CB's acting to be special as she always made you care about the character she was portraying. She shifts from the dramatic to the comedic effortlessly and can have you in stitches to tears! I am so happy that the show is being recognized and that more people are becoming aware of this extremely talented actress. I've introduced a few people to AW and laugh as they cannot just watch one episode and walk away they say they just have to see the next, then the next episode LOL! - I totally agree with you guys. CB is just amazing and each character she plays is so different than the one before. She brings something so unique and special to each role/character she takes on. Ok I am going to be out of town most of this week so I thought I would post some comments and questions about Boomerang 2. Your homework assignment is to watch boomerang 2 LOL! There was a lot in this episode I had forgotten about! I must have blocked Mic memories also LOL!
1. Did you like this episode?
2. What do you think about the "ferry scene" above? Do you think Mac was out of line or were you thinking it's about time one of them said something!
3. Do you think Harm meant no to Mac or simply a not yet?
4. How do you think Mac took his answer did she see it as a complete rejection of the idea of a relationship or did she see it as a wait sign?
5. Why do you think Mac agreed to take the ring from Mic?
6. Why do you think Mac placed the ring on her right hand and made a point of noting this to Harm and the Admiral?
7.The admiral tells Harm never look back but he does, do you think he was shocked to see Mic and Mac together?
8. Do you think this was a ploy to make Harm jealous or do you think she really cared for Mic?
9.If Mac and Harm were together in this episode, would everyone have stopped watching or would they have continued to watch JAG?
10. What did you think about Bud and Harm's conversation about Mac and Mic. When Harm tells Bud to go to dinner with Mac "Better you than Brumby"? This is really the only time I can remember anyone teasing Harm about his relationship with Mac.
I also want to know what is wrong with Bud in this episode why can't he run?
I must say that I really didn't care for this episode but that ferry scene sure was interesting! I guess that is the first clear shipper scene.I didn't care for the way it made Mac look she was all interested in coming to Australia to see Mic and then she makes a play for Harm and then goes running back to Mic. It made her look like she would settle for anyone who would have her and I don't think that was the intention of the character of Mac.

- In Mac's mind, she was rejected by Harm. There was no "them" she offered, he rejected (in her mind) and that was that. She also said NO to Mic, but of course Mic being Mic refused to take NO for an answer, and I think the fact that Mac was hurting from the perceived rejection, she maybe didn't want Mic to feel the same hurt & rejection. I wish she would've been more forceful with her NO, but again in HER mind Harm said no, & that was that. She offered, he was the one she wanted, he said no (not yet) & again I would've also perceived it a rejection & why not then move forward? The classic miscommunication LOL! - I loved this episode because Mac decided to let Harm know she was tired of dancing to his timetable and she pushed the envelope to try to figure out where they stood. She demonstrated there were others more than willing to step up to the plate if Harm would not. Harm's other relationships let him keep them at arms length. Mac was not that type. I saw some coverage of the fires in Florida this last week. A woman who was a Marine during Vietnam lost her home. She only had a few minutes to get out. She grabbed a few clothes, and her Marine Corp Sword. Beyond my heart going out to her, it made me wonder, did Mac have a sword, and why didn't she wear it with her Mess Dress?

If you did not get to see it there is a nice picture of Catherine Bell in the newest tv guide and a short article about Army Wives and also a picture of the female cast. The Lifetime channel has been promoting this show like crazy! You know I didn't think I would like the show when it first began, and only watched it because of Catherine Bell. I do like the show and hope it does well when it returns.I need to see the finale from last season again I don't remember anything other than them all being in the bar with someone with an explosive... The writers strike has made me forget.

- The only episode in S6 that I enjoyed was Guilt....It was Mac-centered and Mic-free, the rest of S6 I didn't enjoy at all, waaaaay too much Mic, Mac was relegated to the back burner for the most as Mic's other, & I think I'll wait until S7 comes out, there were plenty of good Mac eps in S7, where Mac was back to Mac the Marine. Loved Lifeline for all the great flashbacks, loved JAG TV, loved when Harm is acting JAG and bumps his head etc. Knew Mic would not be around forever so he didn't bug me. Loved Adrift I as you really get to see the depth of Mac's feelings for Harm etc Each show has someone that everyone likes to dislike for some it was Singer, others Mic and others Vukovic or various combinations of the forementioned. - They're pretty even on SO's who've died or been killed, so that's not a factor. I think Harm had worse luck than Mac because at least Mac had the control to leave her relationships when they weren't working out. The only one who left Mac was Mic. Eddie a drunk, Chris a criminal, blackmailer, abuser, John a CO taking advantage of his mentorship, Dalton undervalued Mac's abilities, stole from her, treated her like an underling, Mic tried to force her to love him, Clay used her survivor guilt against her. Harm on the other had Annie's son lie to her and did what he thought was best for her child, didn't include Jordan in on a decision that would effect them both. I didn't get the Bobby thing at all and have a feeling he did the leaving, and Renee was a stand in for Mac.Those other women that showed interest in him he didn't return the interest (the artist, and the lawyer) and Catherine Gale was a ready-made family. Well we talked about Mic and Mac so I thought now I would ask about Mac and Webb. What did you think about the pairing of Mac and Webb?

Who do you think hurt Mac the worst Mic or Webb?
Obviously she had sincere feelings for both men at different times for different reasons, who do you think she cared the most about?

- I'll bite. Webb was survivor guilt. Mac didn't get tortured, he did. Webb lied, was too secretive and was absent a lot. He wasn't interested in Mac's needs only his own. I didn't see the laughter or fun like she had with Mic. Webb deserved the slap. He endangered Mac's life and made her grieve his death. Mic was doing his job just as Mac was when she prosecuted her ex-lover John Farrow. Mic was new to JAG and he didn't know Mac that well. Later he lost his job rather than prosecute friends. Webb hurt Mac more. Mic just made Mac face up to the truth. She never really loved him enough to put him first.. Harm was her best friend and was who she chose to turn to when things went wrong. She could have, if any perception she had of him was real, but she knew she couldn't trust him, and she couldn't have someone she couldn't trust. I think Webb hurt her worse than Mic. - I had always liked Webb up until the time they put Mac and Webb together and yes I will agree that I think Webb hurt Mac more and that he was most deserving of that slap! - I really like this episode. shows that Harm Sr. was not a superhero. first time i saw this show i did not recognize mac at the wall as jenny. her makeup and acting was so good. I thought she did good singing. Gave it a good shot. I like the famtail scene with harm Sr and jenny. When i first watched P&P with Keira Knightly, it reminded me so much of Harm and Mac.
Darcy is so much like Harm. Neither knows how to convey to the woman they love that they love them. Both like to be in the company of their woman. They like to do things with them.
One thing that was mentioned in this movie was there was three types of women.
first type was more than just beautiful, they were handsome.
Carolyn Bingley went into detail as to what that was. It wasn't just beauty, but it included how they carried themselves, the way they talk and the way they moved. Also they had to be accomplished. They were elegant.
the second type I assume was who might be physically beautiful, but didn't carry herself well and weren't accomplish, they might act a little silly.
the third type were just plain silly.
The challenge here is how do the women of JAG fill these three catergories.
Mac obviously the first type. She was beautiful, carried herself well and was very accomplish with her language skills, leadership skills, and the way she moved. She was quite elegant.
Question is where do the others fit in?
Harriet, Carolyn Imes, Meg Austin, Caitlin Pike, Jordan, Annie, Renee, Sydney Walden, Meredyth, Bobbie, and finally Skates.
If I miss any, feel free to add them into the list. I don't think any of the others fit the profile of an elegant female except for Mac. Though I think Jordan would come close to fitting the bill.

Ok you knew sooner or later we would have this discussion LOL! Let's talk about Mic and Mac. I had a very hard time when watching Mic and Mac from his line of "your company doesn't have to be sober does it?" up until the time he leaves Mac standing in the airport.
Somewhere along the way in season 5 and 6 we lose the girl we know of as the kick ass Marine and she is almost a shadow of her former self.
Beginning in Boomerang where Mac hops on a plane to Australia to see Mic, then makes a play for Harm and then after his rejection is seen cozied up with Mic??
Then she is expected to drop everything and become his date at some dance where he just shows up
Then she is expected to be his "trophy wife" at some business dinner.
Then the double date of Mic and Mac and Harm and Renee where it's a joke except for the looks between Mac and Harm.
Then there is the episode and I don't recall the name where there is this big discussion about her wearing his ring on the right hand or the left hand.(I so wanted her to take off that ring and hand it back to him!)
Then in "Lifeline" we are at Mac and Mic's engagement pa
