  I just picked up First magazine, the November 3rd issue and CB is on the cover. It has an interesing article about the show 'Army Wives' and some bits about real army wives.

  • I saw the cover as I went through the checkout line, but I didn't read the article. What amazes me is how different Catherine looks in that photo from how she looked on JAG!   A close friend of Harm's family, Admiral Boone, is implicated in a heinous war crime during the Vietnam War. Harm and Mac are given only four days to investigate in part one of a two part episode as Bud and Harriet come to terms with the loss of their daughter.

      • Could not agree more with your sentiments here Jennifer. It was bad enough the baby had to die but to name her Sarah just added salt to the wound. Mac was certainly abused by TPTB and even the 'big' ending had to be ended on a coin toss. Flippant way to make the most important decision of their lives if you ask me.     • What and miss out on giving you and opportunity to vent? When I posted the episode I said oh oh, red flag time, Charge LOL! It's not funny but Mac's expressions in that episode were great. She should have poured something over Mic's head for his behaviour and told him pride in her accomplishments is one thing but not setting his boss straight about his comment was something else. I think it is unrealistic not to expect some sort of comment as one hears it all the time when beautiful people are around but he did act like she was more of a commodity than the accomplished woman that she is. She should have told him she was supporting his career move by being there but I would have told him never to treat me like a child again especially as it was his caveman attitude that caused the discord.           • It was the element of surprise and hedging his bets. It would either be a brilliant move if successful or a painfully stupid one. I've heard too many stories from people who pursued their dreams and took chances most of us would never take and miraculously at the end of it all, in spite of overwhelming odds against them, they accomplished their dreams. As evidenced later in time Mic did not have any trouble returning to the Navy. I think he was hoping the gesture would sweep Mac off her feet!     • I was just so disappointed that Chegwidden did not back Mac up and investigate a little more about how the mishap Part B got in her car.       • I hated the fact that AJ refused to back Mac up & then treated her like garbage by removing her & of course giving the case to Harm so he could once again swoop in & save the day. Of course when Harm betrayed a clients trust by looking at classified information (Redemption) AJ backed him to the hilt, but of course he'd never do the same thing for Mac.         • I perfectly understand how you feel Jennifer but that is why I grew to love Mac so much. In spite of life's smackdowns she brushed herself off and kept going. Some people in life never seem to catch a break and have to struggle for everything they have while others just seem to sail on through. In spite of her competence and integrity she got some pretty lame cases, dogs, polygamists, dolphins, peeping toms, overweight sailors etc., things a junior should have handled.           • Well in all fairness in the election, Huckabee did bow out when it was very clear he wouldn't have enough votes or delegates he did get out.   • I have always found Catherine to be beautiful so to say that I find her to be suddenly more beautiful than before would not be true. Maybe you're having a Harm I forgot how beautiful you were, moment. It depends on the scene or camera angle sometimes, but I can see your point and found that sometimes when Mac was next to Harm she appeared tiny but on the whole did not find that he dwarfed her all that much. I like that Denise is growing and challenging her husband's archaic attitudes. I am not thrilled that she thinks she can handle Ghetti especially since she failed to introduce him to her son. If it is all innocent why did she drag Jeremy away as fast as she could? CB has the timeless beauty of a Sophia Loren IMHO. I am enjoying her new role as Denise. We see more of CB's acting range.   it makes it perfect for the Lifetime Channel. It's a good little show where the characters interact very well together. Highly unusual for most show on TV today.
  
  I can see it running for a long time on Lifetime.
  
  
  Note of interest: During the first season I thought Claudia Joy was better looking than Denise(CB),
  
  Last night I found out I was sadly mistaken. CJ was in a scene with CB. CB blew CJ away. CB is so much more beautiful than CJ, which is hard to imagine considering CJ is a good looking lady.
  
  I didn't care too much for Denise in the first season, but she has come a long way in the last 5 or 6 episodes. Denise is now a strong, independent, a leader, and growing more beautiful every day as her spirit has heal.
  
  She's like Mac, but without the emotional baggage that comes from abandoment and abuse.
  
  It's too bad that she's not the one with a couple of young children (8-12 years old). I like seeing CB with young children.
  
  Finally: too bad about CJ's kid dying. I don't know why they had to kill her off. She was going away to college for four years.

  Ok I made a considerable effort at making the videos very Mac centered. I hope you all enjoy them. I had no idea that there were thousands of videos about JAG LOL! Shipper videos easy to find, Mac centered videos not as easy to find.. Let me know what you think!
  I thought it might be interesting conversation if we discussed some of the clips and videos above...

  I have to go along with so many lovers of AW that the show is just so moving,respectful and entertaining. Catherine Bell is stunning as ever and her acting never ceases to amaze my friends and I. I have noticed too that while critics and media were not so good with JAG their affection towards AW is so different and more loving towards the show.
  
  I have the many elements of the show but what makes me cry are the close to home stories and do you agree with me that their song selections are connects with you?

  • ITA Kelly. AW is superbly put together from the writing cast and song selection to the editing. You relate to all of the characters. I've always found CB's acting to be special as she always made you care about the character she was portraying. She shifts from the dramatic to the comedic effortlessly and can have you in stitches to tears! I am so happy that the show is being recognized and that more people are becoming aware of this extremely talented actress. I've introduced a few people to AW and laugh as they cannot just watch one episode and walk away they say they just have to see the next, then the next episode LOL!   • I totally agree with you guys. CB is just amazing and each character she plays is so different than the one before. She brings something so unique and special to each role/character she takes on. I always have to laugh at those that are stuck in the Jag mode. I understand Jag was an great show, but come on it's over and done with and some need to move on. I was a huge Mac fan, but not a shipper at all and thought Harm was a jerk. I'm so glad CB found this show with great producers and creator who are letting CB spread her wings.   • Too freaky Kristen. I was writing to Jagnut stating that Mac was my first intro to CB. That character will always hold a special place in my heart. I can totally see her loyalty to this character. If Mac is your fave, why would anyone laugh? ITA with Amanda's point about Mac's stunted growth on JAG. She was capable of so much more.   By the way there are 17 videos here so keep clicking on the arrows to find them all. Click on the arrow on the right hand side and then on the pop up thingy (technical term) click again and you should find them all.

  Ok I'm still learning how to work this "you tube" thingy so bear with me as I try to put it together. It seems they just assign related videos at random. Sometimes that is ok but well this is the Mac board and I would like videos that are Mac centered or shipper centered and I just have not found a way to make it happen yet.
