I know this board is reserved for topics of Mac but I wanted to post this today. I really hated to see Jag go off the air. I was not sure I would ever care for seeing her in any other show. While Sarah Mackenzie will always be my favorite character that Catherine Bell has portrayed I have noticed how much she has grown over the years in her acting abilities. From 9 years of Mac to tv movies, to Denise on Army Wives I am just impressed with her acting abilities. What do you guys think?

[> I agree that her acting became something special. She seemed a bit...well, wooden in the first few episodes, although that wasn't a bad fit with how her character was (new, and rather uncertain). By the end of the series, she was terrific, and very expressive. Her face showed her emotions wonderfully, and she really projected her character. I've never watched Army Wives, and the few other things I've seen CB in (the Good Witch movies) were cute, but didn't utilize her range of abilities. I miss Mac! -- Deemus, 15:14:10 06/21/10 Mon

[> CB is awesome in all her works except the Triangle but the cast were given a weak script. She's really shining in Jag,Army Wives and the Good Witch. Would love to see her do a movie whether its blockbuster or Indie film. -- mockeymice, 16:08:56 06/21/10 Mon

[> Hi Jagnut,Deemus and mockeymice. Hollywood is making a mistake to ignore Bell in casting her on the big-screen. Bell is more real and well rounded an actress than the likes of Alba,Aniston,Megan Fox,Heigl,Biel you name it. I think she was incredible right from the start because it served how tough, reserved and straight-laced a Marine she is in contrast to the fun flirts Pike,Meg and Krennick were. Deemus you ought to check out Bell in Army Wives. She is very good in her role. I dont like the actor paired with her but her acting with everyone flows beautifully. Her chemistry with Elliott on Jag is still unbeatable...going over inside -- Val88, 22:33:34 06/21/10 Mon

Im thankful we get daily doses of Bell on TV but I like the idea of a Jag movie and for her landing something on the big-screen.
Would love to see her work with actresses like Amy Adams,Julie Andrews,Bullock,Meryl Streep,Catherine Zeta Jones,Liv Tyler,Cate Blanchett,Witherspoon and top notch actors like Liev Scrieber,Downey Jr,Don Cheadle,Guy Pearce,
Viggo Mortensen. So many underrated actors out there even comedians.

[> Catherine Bell has so much to offer when it comes to acting dynamics. Hollywood is set in its typecast mode. You could substitute one for the other an not notice any difference. I admire that CB has done a variety of roles, scifi, comedy, drama, thriller and family films. She is a talent that is underappreciated when it comes to Hollywood. I admire how she still carves out projects for herself though. -- Jubellant, 01:11:01 06/22/10 Tue

[> CB is a rarity in the business because critics, fans and ratings are on her side. That's not always a case on many actresses and actors in TV and even in the movies. That's a testament with Army Wives and her projects in Hallmark channel. Sure Im disheartened this is how Hollywood works but Im happy with how things are with CB because while fame served other actors well in most cases it has many downsides to it.All in all I wish her the best personally and her career. -- Leda, 20:07:39 06/23/10 Wed
