The little brute that sat in the shadows of the cavern, far away from the others, stirred. He moved forward, closer to his mother and only older brother. Not too close though, he was having a hard enough time with his powers at the moment. He had been curious of what was going on with their mother and had linked himself to her. He was paying for that now by struggling with the gift he'd been born to.

She's not dead yet, she just looks like she is. Her God doesn't want her to die just yet. He's having too much fun projecting a present situation into her mind.

Venorik had never met this God, but he hoped he never did. His mother had already been punished enough, why was there this need to punish her further? Of course, he hated no one more this moment than his traitorous father. He could easily forget the God's involvement with his father being involved in the vision. A soft growl rumbled in his throat, the brute staring at his mother's near lifeless form and hating his father for not being there for her...
