Hi, Steve. This is Jimmy Rhee's daughter, if you remember me. I have to say that I also wonder how UBF could be reformed, when there is already so much damage and destruction. I wish that simply removing Samuel Lee would make the difference, but I don't think it will. I do believe that nothing is difficult for God but that only a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit will bring about the needed changes, not in the organization of UBF, but in the hearts of the members of UBF.

I really believe that the issue with UBF is not one of a need for changes in procedures or practices or protocol, but a need for the work of the Holy Spirit to light the flame of passion for our Lord. No good reform idea will transform UBF into a healthy spiritual environment. It would take divine intervention from God in a mighty, powerful way to initiate changes that are genuine in UBF.

I know that most of the people in the reform movement may not want to separate from UBF. I know that most do not want to see UBF shut down. My father did not want to leave UBF and had to be asked to leave by Samuel Lee back in 1989. I understand that reformers do not want to leave the many innocent victims in UBF to fend for themselves. However, I think that we must keep in mind that no one, not even 1000 reform-minded UBF members can resuce UBF. Only Jesus can redeem UBF as a group.
