If there is morally
>right path to choose, I know it's not through war and

while i agree with you in spirit Rob, i am first and foremost practical. first, can we even say "morality" influences anything but the personal decisions we make in comfort? most people will fight and kill in self defense, and not consider it a challenge to their personal morality. now personally, i've never thrown a punch in my life. but, i do think it's fair to consider ourselves "under attack" at this point. we need to make decisions of survival, so i think we need to suspend any "moral" condemnations we may have for either group's actions. personally, i hate science and cannot imagine a place in the technocracy for myself. does that mean i am buying into whatever war joe is fighting? no, from the little i know it seems pointless. but, i have no intension of sitting on the fence and getting blown to bits to preserve my morality. as terrible as it sounds, i'd rather live to repent.

on a more practical level, i wouldn't be so sure we can't be so sure that even sensory stuff is harmless. didn't dawn say something about a deck of cards getting burned because of a backlash? replace deck of cards with floor and my whole family would be dead. we need to practice, cause i'm not sure if what i'm doing is spacial or luck related. did i have a lucky guess to find joe or did i *know* where he was? i don't frickin know. i'm not even sure how to get into that state of mind again. both times i was under stress.....it's hard for me to duplicate fear to see if i can pick the lotto numbers. i also don't know how tied up this "ascension war" is with whatever the traditions are about. joe made it pretty clear to me that he and jimmy the bartender differed drastically on a few salient points, but they are in the same order. maybe participation in this war is a personal choice? i hope so, i'm no soldier.
