And a comment on afore-mentioned political parties: I just want to reiterate my warning about being to quick about throwing ourselves in with the Traditions. I have to agree that it ridiculous to assume that the Technocracy is already watching us, as we've yet to do anything to upset them our their cause and there's no reason they'd want to waste time monitoring our movements any more than the CIA would want to spy on my grandmother. (This is all assuming that Joe and the book are approximately right--we honestly don't know whether any of these people even exist for certain.) Frankly, for the moment I have no intention of doing anyting that might upset either side of this "Ascension War". I'll be the first to admit that the Technocracy's vision of the world as written (given to us by whichever side wrote the books) is repressive, dark, and counter to all the ideals I hold dear. On the other hand, the Traditionalists have their own corruptions and there isn't a single one of them whose goals are really benevolent. If they Technocracy is the government, then they are essentially terrorists. Take that to mind very seriously. If there is morally right path to choose, I know it's not through war and I won't side with any group that forces me to fight. I'm willing to defend myself, but not unless I'm certain there isn't any other possibility.
