Go to the FAQ and read it all the way through....twice.

You can gain marginal consistency improvments by following the instructions in the FAQ for polishing the internals of the gun. This reduces internal friction and will *slightly* increase gas efficiency and shot to shot consistency.

Also, you might try going to websites such as www.p8ntballer.com and reading everything in their "classroom" section. This will give you ideas on things to look for and practice doing as you're playing.

Lastly... The F4 is an awesome machine in it's own right, and will serve you very well as long as it's properly cleaned/lubed. Like Mark said, play through a couple cases of paint, practicing snap-shooting, field walking, bunkering, and especially *not getting hit*. Then upgrade what you think NEEDS upgrading.

For example, my first upgrade was a drop forward because I had the newer "bullet" style bottomline, and I didn't like how high and in my face the tank was...and since it was exactly horizontal, I would suck a lot of liquid.

Then I got Nitrogen, because I play in cold climate and CO2 is downright awful when it gets cold, which for me is 5 months out of the year.
